LEADER THERAPY

When you're carrying the load alone

Psychotherapy designed specifically for co-founders, family business co-owners, and mission-critical professionals facing partnership conflict individually.

One-to-one psychotherapy sessions for leaders who want to overcome conflict and transform the partnership.

Designed for your challenges

Leader Therapy is designed for:

Deeper than coaching.
More impactful than mentoring.

Coaching delivers moderate impact with uncertain sustainability

Executive coaching reliably delivers improvements in personal attitudes, behaviours, and emotional management; however, research shows these are moderate effects. Additionally, there is no rigorous research demonstrating sustained gains over 6-24 months post-coaching.

Mentoring provides modest benefits but limited long-term evidence

Formal mentoring improves emotional regulation, enhances workplace relationships, and reduces burnout. However, research shows that the transformative effects remain consistently modest, and evidence of change beyond the medium term remains limited.

Our Four-Step Therapy Approach
for Leaders

Establish Safety

We create a safe and trusting space for sharing your partnership challenges.

Go to the Root

We identify the triggers, emotions, and power patterns driving the conflict and emotional distress.

Shift in Session

We use live, in-room experiments to create fresh insight and new relational patterns together.

Lock-in Behaviours

We set simple micro-tests between sessions so new behaviours turn into habits.

Safe, Confidential, and Respectful

Boundaries First

We explore sensitive personal topics only to the degree you're comfortable. Your personal limits are fully respected at all times.

Strict Confidentiality

Your sessions and sensitive information remain strictly confidential (including from HR and legal). Our therapists fully adhere to the ethical standards of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Trauma-Informed

Our therapists are specially trained to safely navigate trauma or deeper emotional concerns, ensuring your experience remains highly supportive and safe throughout the process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can individual therapy still help improve my partnership, even if my co-founder or team member won’t participate?

Absolutely. Individual therapy helps you gain clarity, better handle stress, and improve communication. This often has a positive indirect effect on your partnership or team, even if others don’t participate directly.

Is one-to-one therapy just focused on professional topics, or can I talk about personal issues as well?

Therapy naturally includes personal issues when they impact your work or leadership. We’re sensitive and respectful about how deeply you explore personal topics, always working within your comfort zone.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare before starting Leader Therapy?

You can have as Yes. If you're undertaking Single-Session Therapy, we ask you to complete four short questionnaires beforehand. These help us quickly understand your situation and goals, ensuring we make the most of your intensive session. If you're beginning a Brief Therapy series (2–10 sessions), completing these questionnaires isn't mandatory—but doing so can still be helpful, allowing us to dive straight into productive discussion from the very first session.many SST sessions as you feel are necessary. SST is never about "one session and you're done"; instead, its focus is always on "one meaningful session at a time".

How often do sessions usually take place, and can I adjust scheduling as needed?

Typically, sessions start weekly for about 60–90 minutes. You can adjust the timing and frequency as your needs and schedule change.

If I have an urgent issue or crisis, can I schedule longer or more intensive therapy sessions?

Yes, we regularly provide intensive sessions or urgent support for critical situations, ensuring you get immediate, focused assistance.

Can my therapy transition into joint sessions later if my partner decides they want to participate?

Yes, this is common. We easily transition from individual therapy to joint or team sessions whenever the time feels right.

Will details from my individual sessions ever be shared with my organisation or investors?

Never without your explicit permission. If someone else funds your sessions, we provide only general updates on engagement, never detailed or sensitive information.

As a high-profile founder or executive, can I request additional privacy or special confidentiality measures?

Absolutely. We offer enhanced confidentiality and take additional measures to ensure your privacy, especially important for clients in high-profile or sensitive positions.
